Geelong STEM Hub

Making Geelong a lighthouse for STEM

We are a team of academics and teachers based at Deakin University, Geelong, who work with teachers, students and local industry to support innovative and research-informed STEM teaching and learning in the Geelong region.

Girls as Leaders in STEM (GALS)

The Girls as Leaders in STEM (GALS) Program gives female students in Years 5-8 the opportunity to engage with local industry and solve real-world problems. Supported by their teachers, schools and Deakin staff, girls demonstrate leadership in STEM to the broader community.

STEM and Entrepreneurship in Schools (SEPS)

The STEM and Entrepreneurship in Primary Schools (SEPS) is a professional learning program specifically designed to introduce Geelong teachers to contemporary ideas in STEM and Entrepreneurship education through a series of interactive workshops and events.
